The Skidompha Secondhand Book Shop is open daily from 9 to 4.

"Sophia" - Book Shop Mascot

The Skidompha Secondhand Book Shop, located at 17 Backstreet Landing in downtown Damariscotta, is open seven days a week from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The shop is a significant fundraiser for Skidompha Public Library. All items are donated, all staff members are volunteers, and every purchase supports the Library’s collections and programs.

Thanks to so many generous donors, the shop offers thousands of hardcover and paperback books in many genres for adults and children, as well as movies on DVD, puzzles, music CDs, and records.

Donations are accepted whenever the shop is open. They are received at the side door, and donors are asked not to leave books outside, as only a short time in cold or damp weather can damage books.
